Cendrine Rovini

Yesterday I was waiting in the reception room at Models 1 for my sister and flicking through the magazines I discovered french artist Cendrine Rovini in peut etre magazine. To begin with I was drawn to the delicate style and light mark making. The works have a dream like quality and the style really contrasts with the violent and bizarre themes. Cendrine uses mixed media on wood,  fabric and paper. Now I am fascinated with the surfaces she uses with pencil marks and splattered splotches. These irregular and imperfect stains are beautiful.
