Lincrusta

Lincrusta is a manufacturer of really elegant wallpaper collections and formed the first washable wall covering; made from natural materials and produced using traditional rollers. Various effects include using water-based paints to perform a distressed appearance, using cream to highlight, various aging techniques and oil-based primer for a tonal effect. Paralympic Flame Celebration

On the weekend my parents came to visit me in Bath and we went to watch the Rio Carnival Quest that  led through the city. All the costumes and lanterns looked fantastic and it was really fun to watch. There were big lanterns and smiles and the drumming sounded fantastic echoing through the streets.

Imogen Heath

I first discovered Imogen Heath  whilst flicking through my Elle Decoration magazine. I was drawn towards her collection of linen/cotton-mix fabrics. Imogen is a surface pattern and textiles designer based in Brighton and started up her own design business in July 2011 where she launched her first small range of home decoration product at the New Designers One Year On exhibition. I love the collections creative approach towards pattern and mark making and in particular her ditzy florals.

See for yourself here. I could really do with a new case for my mac...

tchmo

I really like these tchmo prints by Andy's Circle, born in Australia and based in Canada. They are really abstract and the colours are beautiful and have been blended and overlapped in an extraordinary way. The landscapes create a dreamlike ambience mixed with a slightly explosive edge.
