Nabla Pall is inspired by the vivid images and colours she experienced growing up in the Middle East. I love the freshness and boldness of her designs. They are both youthful and fun. I also really like the layout of her website. Her products, which are brooches have been displayed in a wonderfully simple way which reflects her style. Nabla uses line drawings during the creative process and the materials she uses include coloured resins and flock.

Madness is a part of Life
I recently went to Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo. There is currently an exhibition on the top floor called Madness is a part of Life, on until 6th January 2013. The title refers to common situations in our daily lives and knowing we all need a little madness in our lives! This raises awareness that around life there is a body we are a part of. Through passing through this sculpture we are able to re-discover Tokyo's cityscape from another perspective by raising awareness of the space of life with thanks to Brazilian Artist Ernesto Neto and his studio Atelienave. The body of the sculpture was made up of plastic balls that were fun to walk on and the catwalk led up to the living area which was incredibly peaceful and trapped the warmth from the sun, I could have relaxed there and looked out across the cityscape all day if I didn't have so many places to see.

Happy Christmas
Wishing all my followers a very happy christmas. Mum and I decorated these stag horns in the house with ball balls. I think we should decorate them every season!

Prints and visualizations
Here are some prints I have designed and put into room contexts.
This is a digital half drop repeat printed onto linen union for interiors. I have hand painted puff binder mixed with yellow pigment onto the design to add a two dimensional quality.
This is a half drop repeat digitally printed onto a linen union fabric with foil on top applied by hand painting the adhesive onto the fabric to create a painterly look.
This design is in a block repeat printed onto linen union with hand painted puff binder applied to the surface in green and pink to add texture.

Abstract Block Repeats
I had lots of fun creating these seamless block repeats. I enjoy turning my paintings into patterns by joining them up. I like to paint in a very free way and when I create repeats I find joining up the seams a challenge and the designs become quite structured in contrast.

Abstract half drop repeats
Here are some designs from my latest project. I wanted to create a fresh and painterly feel to the patterns I developed from paintings within my sketchbook. All the designs have been worked into a seamless half drop repeat, this was a long but worthwhile process.

Christmas Cards
Of course I increased my washi tape collection whilst in Japan when shopping in Loft. When I came back home I felt inspired to create my own christmas cards using the washi tape to make up festive shapes and designs. This was a fun activity and I watched christmas movies too.
